Amazon Web Services Reports New Outages in Wake of Global Internet Failure
Amazon acknowledged that its cloud services are experiencing renewed instability after initially reporting improvements following a massive global internet outage.
Despite signs of recovery, the company says the issues are still causing network connectivity disruptions for thousands of apps and customer data services.
AWS has yet to identify the exact cause of the network failure but says it has narrowed down the likely sources as the investigation continues.
The malfunction appears to originate from its Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) network, which provides virtual machines for customers to run scalable cloud applications.
